Addison Development Regulations Assessment Report

The Addison Development Regulations Assessment Report is now available for your review. The report looks at the strengths and weaknesses of the current zoning, subdivision, and sign regulations in Addison and highlights issues that need to be addressed while drafting the new Unified Development Code (UDC). This report will serve as a roadmap for the remainder of the project. The project team will introduce the Assessment Report and answer questions during  a series of meetings scheduled for March 27 and 28. Please visit the Events page or contact Charles Goff, Assistant Director of Development Services, (972) 450-7027 for specific meeting places and times. We appreciate your interest and look forward to your participation.

In addition to the general comments noted in the Development Regulations Assessment, the project team has created a Detailed Review of Current Development Regulations. This document provides a section-by-section review of the elements of the current Addison Code of Ordinances that will be molded into the new Unified Development Code (UDC). This analysis is based on discussions with staff and stakeholders and the project team's own observations.
